Depending on each case, the online registration process on the ANTS website will vary and can sometimes require going through a number of drop-down menus before you locate the path that matches your personal situation.<\/p>\n

To help you find your way around and file your application without trouble, EUROCOC\u2019s Customer Service will suggest step-by-step instructions according to each case. Here is our first case.<\/p>\n

<\/a>How do I register my vehicle bought from another European country on the ANTS website?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

OK, you\u2019ve collected all the required documents to file your application for registering your vehicle bought within the European Union, but what should you do next?<\/p>\n

1. First, go to the\u00a0ANTS<\/a>\u00a0website and log onto \u201cMon Espace\u201d (\u201cMy Space\u201d).<\/p>\n

To complete your application, it is mandatory that you log on through your FranceConnect account, otherwise you will not have full access to the ANTS website.<\/p>\n

<\/a>What is FranceConnect?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

FranceConnect is the solution offered by the French State to ensure a highly secure connection to online public services. You can log on using your \u201cAm\u00e9li\u201d, \u201cImp\u00f4ts.Gouv\u201d, \u201cLa Poste Digital ID\u201d or even \u201cMobile connect and me\u201d and also with your \u201cMSA\u201d account recently included.<\/p>\n

Note: If you do not have an account, you can create one on \u201c<\/em>Mobile connect and me<\/em><\/a>\u201d, if you are an Orange Mobile subscriber or create your Digital ID (DID) on \u201c<\/em>La Poste<\/em><\/a>\u201d.<\/em><\/div>\n

After clicking on the account you wish to use, simply log on with your user ID and password that are associated with this account.
\nThat\u2019s it! You are now identified on the ANTS (Agence Nationale des Titres S\u00e9curis\u00e9s) website, and you can file any application without restriction.<\/p>\n

One last confirmation, and you are now logged on to your personal home page on the ANTS website!<\/p>\n

2. What should you do next?<\/div>\n

Now, go to \u201cMon espace V\u00e9hicule\u201d (\u201cMy Vehicle Space\u201d).<\/p>\n

On the page that opens up now, complete your online registration process by selecting, under \u201cType de demande\u201d (\u201cType of Application\u201d), the option \u201cJe souhaite faire une autre demande\u201d (\u201cI want to file another application\u201d), and confirm this by clicking the \u201cAjouter une demande\u201d (\u201cAdd an Application\u201d) button.<\/p>\n

Now, you can select the \u201cImmatriculer pour la premi\u00e8re fois un v\u00e9hicule en France\u201d (Register a vehicle in France for the first time) category.<\/p>\n

Why can\u2019t I use the \u201cJ\u2019ach\u00e8te ou je re\u00e7ois un v\u00e9hicule d\u2019occasion\u201d (\u201cI am buying or receiving a second-hand vehicle\u201d) category?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

This category only really applies to\u00a0SIV format<\/a>\u00a0vehicles that are already registered in France; it will not let you finalise your application as you will not be able to fill out all the required fields correctly.<\/p>\n

Once confirmed, the page that appears allows me to benefit from additional assistance or to continue my steps directly online<\/p>\n

I click on \u201cNo\u201d to continue my application for a new registration certificate.<\/p>\n

Now, you can select the \u201cImmatriculation d\u2019un v\u00e9hicule d\u2019occasion (acquis \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger ou d\u00e9muni d\u2019une immatriculation au format SIV)\u201d [\u201cRegistering a second-hand vehicle (acquired in another country or without a SIV format registration)\u201d] sub-category.<\/p>\n

What is the SIV and why is my vehicle without an SIV format registration?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The SIV is the Syst\u00e8me d\u2019Immatriculation des V\u00e9hicules (Vehicle Registration System) which was introduced in 2009. This system assigns a registration number, called an SIV number, in the AB-123-CD format to any vehicle registered in France.
\nThis registration number is assigned either when a vehicle is\u00a0registered for the first time<\/strong>, or when a registration certificate is redone for a vehicle that has an older registration of the \u201c123 AB 01\u201d type. Today, all vehicles keep their SIV number until they are destroyed, even if they change owners. This registration number will appear on the vehicle\u2019s registration certificate and number plates.<\/p>\n

Now, you can indicate in the \u201cJe pr\u00e9cise ma demande\u201d (\u201cDetails of My Application\u201d) field the purpose of your application so that the CERT can process your file more efficiently.<\/p>\n

For example, \u201cHello, I would like to register my second-hand vehicle bought in Italy. Supporting documentation is attached. Thank you\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, simply double-check the pre-filled information that has been imported from your personal account, complete any missing details, and upload the required supporting documents by clicking on the \u201cAjouter\u201d (\u201cAdd\u201d) button opposite each required supporting document\u00a0depending on each specific case.<\/p>\n
